Content Strategist
Weaver is seeking a passionate and creative Content Strategist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will leverage their storytelling expertise to craft compelling content that engages diverse audiences. You will work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, contributing to marketing strategies that drive brand engagement and support key business objectives.
The job responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop engaging, informative, and persuasive copy for various channels including websites, blogs, advertisements, flyers, catalogs, packaging, videos, press releases, emails, SMS campaigns, and other promotional materials.
- Collaborate with marketing associates, sales teams, graphic designers, and production staff to gather insights, understand target audiences, and create impactful communication strategies that align with brand objectives.
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to enhance web content, product descriptions, and blogs, aiming to improve organic traffic and search engine rankings.
- Work closely with the copy, design, and website teams to ensure consistency in messaging and visual presentation, maintaining alignment with the Weaver brand.
- Support the creation of effective Google and Facebook ads by developing relevant and engaging copy.
- Write content that resonates with our varied product divisions, including equine, livestock, pet, leathercraft, arborist, and construction.
- Proofread and edit all marketing and creative content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand voice and style guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Our ideal applicant:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in copywriting, digital marketing, content creation, or similar roles with a strong portfolio of work.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient understanding of SEO principles, including experience with keyword research and optimization techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently, both independently and within a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinker with the ability to deliver high-quality written content across various mediums.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn the StoryBrand Framework (bonus skill).
- Ability to work out of our Mt Hope, OH office. With the potential for a hybrid schedule after initial onboarding period.
